WOODINVILLE (AP) -- The Redmond Mustangs C Team took care of business in Woodinville tonight with a closer-than-expected win against their rivals from the north.
After a lopsided 31 point win December, most experts had predicted an easy victory for the (now) 14-0 freshman squad. Woodinville had other ideas and scored the game's first five points and led after a quarter, 16-15. But a strong second quarter gave the young Stangs a 27-22 halftime lead and Redmond pulled away in the second half to secure the win and keep their spotless record intact.
Tyler Sigel led the way with 16 points. "I probably should have shot-faked a little more," he confessed post-game. "And I know I can still be more of a leader." BYU-bound Reed Talbot added 11 but could not be reached for comment as he had homework.
